After medical school, Luke trained in General and Vascular surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital and Gosford Hospital. He also has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and General Medicine.
Luke completed a Masters degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 1998, and has also completed courses in Advanced Life Support (ALS), Paediatric Life Support (PLS) and trauma management.
Luke was HMO in Intensive Care and the Director of Medical Services at Gosford Private Hospital from 2016-2018.
Following his training, Luke has worked in Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracics and Neurosurgery, and has worked with Dr Marc Coughlan since 2017.
Luke has also volunteered as a doctor in Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Guatemala and Belize, and is a proud member and director of the PNG Angels.
Excellence of surgical and postsurgical care and communication are of the utmost importance to Luke.
